Combating Illegal Employment

To combat undeclared work, Articles L 8222-1 et seq. of the Labor Code stipulate that the contracting party must ensure, upon entering into a contract for the provision of services valued at 5,000 euros or more, including tax—whether the principal is a client or a service provider—that the other party to the contract is in good standing with regard to both its registration (Commercial Register, Trade Register, professional association, or administrative approval) and its social security and tax filings. Failure to do so would make the contracting party an accomplice to any violations committed by the service provider and subject to joint liability for the corresponding fines. The law of August 13, 2004, stipulates that this verification obligation must be renewed every six months until the contract is fully performed (Article L 8222-1, as amended, of the Labor Code). Decree No. 2005-1334 of October 27, 2005, specifies the scope of the principal’s obligations, with the entire framework codified in Articles R 8222-1 et seq. of the Labor Code.

Claims Management

If you would like to share your concerns with us, please contact your usual representative or send a letter, specifying the case reference number, to:

A “complaint” refers to a statement expressing a customer’s dissatisfaction with a service provider: a request for a service or product, a request for information or clarification, or a request for advice does not constitute a complaint.

We are committed to acknowledging receipt of any complaint within ten business days and to responding to it or keeping the customer informed of the progress of the complaint’s resolution within two months of the date of receipt.

Mediation

Pursuant to Article L 156-1 of the Consumer Code, the Insurance Ombudsman has jurisdiction to intervene in any dispute that could not be resolved through a prior complaint filed directly with your broker’s office. A case may be referred to the Ombudsman through one of the following methods:
